    THIS JUST IN!

In the battle between my wife and I on who's boobs are real I can finally say, "I WON ONE!!!"

Love comments on her Breasts in March 98 issue of "Jump" magazine: Hollywood Hang-Ups From Head to Toe,
    By Cindy Pearlman

    Jennifer Love Hewitt:
"The same goes for the way I feel about my breasts. When I first got boobs, I had a really hard time. I wasn't like other girls who started with a training bra then went to an A cup, a B, then a C. I went straight to a C cup. I was only 12 when it happened. I went through a phase where I only wore baggy sweaters to hide them as much as possible. The worst part was that I wasn't allowed to play certain parts because they were so big. Only during the last two and a half years have I started to feel okay with them. I've finally accepted them as just a great accessory to every outfit, kind of like a necklace."

    HURAY!!!

arloMan, this sucks! I keep wondering why I feel so crappy, and I just remembered it is Sept. 11th. This sucks!

Seems I keep remembering the past year and I really hated it. A year ago today started:

So far a crappy year, wouldn't you say?

GeneralI found this on Boing Boing. It is a first-hand account of the protests in Portland Oregon (my home town) when the Prez showed up for a Republican fund raising event.

My theory was correct, both sides should go sit in the corner.

arloLast night I hooked-up with my buddies. You may remember me commenting that I was going to see them last week. Well, those plans fell apart.

Last night we all found each other with beer in hand at the Horse Brass Pub. In case you didn't know, many Oregonians are total beer snobs. And this group is one of the worst. I myself like a Gin and Tonic, or a good glass of wine, however these guys won't hear of it. So beer it is, and hangover, here I come.

Dave has been lost in Hawaii for the past few months was a kid in a candy store. Too many beers to choose from. Dave hasn't had good beer for a few months now.

Scotto, is the same. Doing his best imitation of a good drunk all night. Oh wait, that wasn't an imitation. ;) He has been rooted in Chicago for over a year now doing his veterinarian thing.

Brent was the star of the show last night. This was the first time I had seen him since he had "come out of the closet." It was good to see that he was still the same ol' Brent. He brought his . . . boyfriend. . . lover. . . S.O.. . .whatever Jeremy . A good guy. He was giving me some good writing tips. I look forward to trying them out.

The shocker of the evening was when Scott--for some reason I will never know--brought out pictures of all of us in grade school. YEESH! Why was I so into looking like Don Johnson? (and yes I did look that good!).

All in all it was a great night, with hangover included.

    I need to drink more.

arloKids are so so. . . childish!

This weekend we watched Sonja's and my Nephews. MY GOD! You would think they would want to sit down and have a nice chat. No way! Hours of:
    "Can we play the computer?"
"Can we play Backyard Baseball 2002, on the computer?"
"I get to play first!". . ."No you don't". . ."Yea huh!"

When I finally did let them play on the damn computer they fought like wildmen!

We didn't really enjoy each other until we went outside and tossed a football around. Then they started to act like civilized human beings! Finally they started to respect each other and stopped yelling.

Finally they went home so I could play America's Army

Sonja was mad when I didn't take the time to wash the windows, like she asked. What does she expect? I was too busy, playing on the computer!

GeneralFound this site. Funny thing is it is called Found Magazine. It is interesting, humorous and many times profoundly powerful.

Check out the "find of the week" for July 28, 2002 and July 7th 2002. Powerful stuff!

arloTonight I'm going to see a bunch of buddies of mine. I have known these guys since gradeschool. They all are in town at the same time. Lucky me!

2 of them are not working right now (by choice, can you believe it). So, it looks like I'll have a hangover tomorow morning.

Isn't it funny how we still have friendships with the people we know from our youth? I could care less of any of the friends I made in college or some of my past jobs. However if someone called from my grade school, I would drop everything and see them.

6 Movies in One Day Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version

arloYesterday I woke up feeling like crap. My throat felt like it was going to explode every time I swallowed, I was sick to my stomach and I had a bad headache.

    That means only one thing:

    Stay home sick!!!

    So I did.

It was a great day. I woke up and started watching movies in bed. I have a ton of old VHS tapes that I have not watched since we got DVD. So I blew off the dust and sat down for a good day of relaxation and rest.

    First movie: Apollo 13
I love this movie! I really enjoy the technological struggle of these folks. Best scene is when the engineers have to make new CO2 filters with surplus supplies.

Movie two: Children of a Lesser God
First of all, I love the name of this movie. After thinking about it, aren't most of us children of a lesser god. Not all of us are sons of Zeus or Aphrodite. That said the movie was good. And seemed like the standard 80's movie

    Third movie: High Fidelity
Awesome movie! Funny story, characters and situation. Plus any movie with The Boss has to be good!

    Forth movie: American Beauty
I want to be Kevin Spacey in this movie. Not too many times I want to be a middle-aged, middle-class, married white guy. Spacey pulls this off beautifully! Also I like the creepy kind next door, Wes Bentley. His intensity is right on.

Fifth movie: As Good As It Gets
All I can say is Nicholson is sooooo great in this movie. The scene in the car where he takes over the entire shot by just dropping his sunglasses off his forehead without his hands is amazing! Also, I bet you didn't know it was directed by a creator of the Simpson's.

    Sixth movie Grosse Pointe Blank
This movie is great just listening to Minnie Driver struggle with an American accent. She fouls it up some times, like when she is getting an airplane ride. This movie also captured the feeling of a High School reunion perfectly. I went to my reunion only after I had 10 phone calls during it, asking where was I. I went to an all-boys high school, so all of the guys were fairly drunk when I got there.

Anyway, if you are sick sometime, take advantage of it, and take the day off!

arloToday I was making my normal rounds, catching up on stuff on the web. I went to one of my movie rumor sites and found a few things that seem crazy to me.

  • Charlie's Angels 2: The Olsen Twins will cameo according to ET Online
MY GOD WILL THESE CHICKS GO AWAY!?!?!?
  • The A-Team: The script is going through some heavy re-writes and Jack Black is rumoured for the Howling Mad Murdock role.
Ok I loved the A-Team when I was a kid. I watched a few episodes a few years ago, and cringed at the sight. I looked forward to seeing Hannibal saying "I love it when a plan comes together" however it just sounded corney as a 29 year old. Jack Black will be a killer Merdock tho.
  • Batman: The Musical: Hard to believe but The New York Post reports that Tim Burton will helm the Broadway musical version of the DC Comics Hero. Well at least that means there won't be a singing and dancing kickline of rogues gallery villains.
THIS IS *censored*ING CRAZY!!!!! Who was the idiot who thought of this idea?!?!?! Why not make The Matrix into a musical? ~n
